Vienna and Graz are 200 km apart and both shaped by continental climate – but Graz in the inner-Alpine basin of Styria has hot summers averaging 27°C in July and receives around 850 mm of annual rain, more than Vienna's 600 mm. Both cities are considered sunny, but Vienna logs more sunshine hours per year overall.
